Before we jump in, thank you so much to each of you who registered your interest in the Art Club // Alt Crits! I’ll be in touch very soon as i’ve been cooking! 💜
🌀 How are you meeting chaos and change these days?
For me, it’s been a wild mix of anchoring in and letting go.
I’m meticulous about the very ‘basic’ things which keep me going day to day. The rituals which root me, however possible, in these urgent times. Yet i’m simultaneously surrendering to the absolute wildness — the overwhelming and uncontrollable parts — trusting (or trying to trust), taking things one-day, one-breath at a time.
A contradiction? A practice.
My rituals — like my morning (and dusk, if possible) walkies, my movement practice, Pages, and art making — are spaces to land. They’re different each day, and require effort. The urgencies of life have me questioning whether they’re important. But the effort to show up for them has mostly created more room, more potential capacity to show up for the other stuff going on bts.
This is a form of Spacemaking and tbh, i’ll take what i can get, if only to breathe a little easier, be able to fall into bed and actually sleep (which i sense a lot of us are understandably struggling with lately)
In times of challenge and chaos, i’m ever-interested in how we can release unnecessary tension. So we can be fully present for the things which matter most.
🌀 Flow for Shifts and Changes
A yoga practice for riding the winds of change with presence and play
Today, I’m sharing a yoga, somatic, embodiment, and meditation practice that I hope supports you. In my own practices lately, i’ve noticed that a little spice (that effort and dedication), paired with a lot of ease (also effort and dedication to the practice of softening), helps channel some of that anxious energy.
This practice is available for paid subscribers — thank you so much for enabling me to make these labours of love. I hope they offer you some spaces to land in these times. 💛
🌿 What to Expect
So, expect a slow flow class with a bit of seasoning… and (hopefully) a lot of balm for your bits. 💜
Wherever you are in your cycle, season, or creative rhythm — this flow invites you to meet change not with resistance, but with curiosity, movement, and grounded presence.
Rooted in the qualities of Vata dosha (air + ether), it’s designed for those moments when you’re in your head — overthinking, over-doing, or caught in the swirls of transition. Together, we invite the possibility of shift without expectation, and instead meet ourselves where we are, with what we have, whatever state that might be.
🧘🏽♀️ This 55-minute practice includes:
Core and back body strengthening
Leg lengthening and stability
Playful transitions and creative sequencing
Backbends, twists, and balance
Restorative belly-down grounding
A soothing playlist to carry you through (two are linked inside)
You’ll be guided to find your own rhythm, with encouragement to modify, rest, or even snooze, whatever your system needs most.
Thank you for Being here and for practicing with me. 💜
